I’m Ryan Cravitz!
I’ve been working in the financial industry for 22 years now. Over that period of time I have developed a passion for helping people who are serious about their financial future simplify their financial lives and achieve financial freedom.
MY STORY
"Simplified, I likethat. Whatdoes that mean?"
Oh…don’t get me started. You know how a lot of people in the financial industry like to use big fancy jargon probably just to make themselves sound smart. Yes —I’ll bet you do!
You’re not going to hear me say words like Sharpe Ratio, Treynor Ratio, Standard Deviation, Alpha, or Beta. What!? Did I just say Alpha Beta? Wasn’t that a super market?
Well, yes Alpha Beta actually was a super market.
I’m here to help translate and turn financial jargon into English. Look, I forget who said this, but I believe…
If you can’t explain it simply it means you don’t know it well enough!

Why I Do What I Do
You might be surprised to hear this, but when I began my career in the financial industry right out of college, I really didn’t have much passion for what I did.
It all began in the last semester of my senior year. At that point, I hadn’t figured out what I wanted to do for a career when I graduated college.
As fate would have it, I met a recruiter from a financial services firm that came to my college. After speaking with him, I thought it sounded intriguing.

However, at the time, I simply knew I had a knack for numbers. I’ve been fortunate that math has always come pretty easy to me.
So…I figured why not. Let’s give this financial planning thing a shot!
Long story short I was hired right out of college.
I didn’t know it at the time, but the next years several years had a tremendous impact on me.
I remember experiencing the stock market tanking both between 2000-2002, and then again in the so-called Great Recession of 2008. I heard story after story of people who were planning to retire, but were forced to delay retirement or retire with far less than their expectations.
I recall the NINJA loans. Remember those? No Income, No Job, No Assets. – NO Problem, right?!? Oh yes, it was problem. It was a huge problem for many. I’ve seen houses lost, dreams destroyed, and plans for retirement ruined.
I’ve seen people who have missed out on thousands of dollars, because they didn’t coordinate Social Security benefits with their spouse the right way. Unfortunately, it was too late when they found out they had not moved in a better direction.

I saw people who outlived their retirement savings due to unexpected, and unplanned medical expenses that required them to change their lifestyle drastically.
It was these experiences that gave me my passion for helping people secure their financial future.
I’ve seen the pain, the worry, the fear. I realized that I could make an impact and I decided that I wanted to make a real difference.
This led me to founding my own independent firm back in 2011.
And I have never looked back...
Today, I help my clients solve complex financial planning issues, grow and protect their hard-earned money, and achieve a happy, and secure retirement.
In other words, I get to help my clients make their financial life awesome!
THE PERSONAL STUFF
Family, love, shows - views towards life
I was born and raised in Southern California. I grew up in L.A. County and went to high school in Walnut. Go Mustangs!
I then moved on to San Diego County to attend San Diego State and completed my Bachelor’s degree there. I loved San Diego so much that I didn’t end up leaving until five years after graduating. That was when I moved back to the L.A. area, and soon after Orange County.
I met Racheal, the wonderful woman that ended up becoming my beautiful Wife in the Summer of 2013. We were married in 2016 and we are living in Newport Beach, CA.

In May of 2018 our son Cody was born. Still no dogs, but I think that’s coming soon. I grew up with dogs and love dogs, but Racheal really loves dogs…so it’s coming.
Favorite activities – I love being active and I exercise about 5 times a week. I like to mix it up. I’ll do a variety of different things such as going to the gym, swimming, hiking, or doing some crazy workout I just find randomly on Youtube!
