Let's Chat

It all starts with a brief, 20-minute phone call to get to know each other. We’ll discuss your financial situation and goals to ensure our expertise aligns with your needs. If it’s a good fit, we’ll move forward with the 3-step Retirement Checkup process outlined below.

Feel free to ask any questions you have about the process or anything you'd like clarified. It's important to make sure we’re the right fit for each other.

Your Financial checkup

A Simple 3 Step Process To Help You Build a Stronger Financial Future.

1

Step

Discovery Meeting

Before we can chart the best course for your future, we need to understand where you stand today. This meeting will help clarify your financial goals, needs, and concerns.

2

Step

Review Findings

Together, we’ll review personalized recommendations and strategies designed to enhance your financial plan—optimizing investments, maximizing income, and minimizing taxes.

3

Step

Think It Over

At this stage, I’ll simply ask you to think it over. My goal is to build long-term relationships with clients, so if you feel it's not the right fit for any reason, that’s perfectly okay. You will never feel pressured to move forward.

Some of the questions we'll address include:

  • How can I balance saving for the future with enjoying life today?
  • What is the best investment strategy for my risk tolerance and goals?
  • How can I protect my savings and investments from inflation, taxes, and market volatility?
  • How do I plan for financial goals beyond retirement, like buying a house or leaving a legacy.
  • How can I ensure my financial plan is flexible enough for life's unexpected changes?
  • How can I minimize taxes now and in retirement?
  • How do I go about creating an effective withdrawal strategy in retirement?
  • Are my life insurance or long term care policies adequate for my needs?
  • How can I optimize my Social Security benefits or pension income?
  • How do I plan for healthcare expenses in the future?

How often will we meet?

At the outset, we’ll likely meet several times, depending on the complexity of your situation, to ensure every aspect of your plan is thoroughly addressed.

Once your initial plan is in place, we will meet at least once or twice a year to review your progress and make any necessary adjustments to stay on track toward your goals.

Additionally, you’ll have unlimited support through phone, email, Zoom, or in-person meetings (for local clients). You’ll also have 24/7 online access to your financial portal and retirement plan.

Where will my investments be held and how can I view them?

For your security and convenience, we use Charles Schwab and Fidelity as trusted third-party custodians for client investment and retirement accounts.

➡️Charles Schwab manages over $10 trillion in client assets and serves approximately 36 million accounts.

➡️Fidelity administers about $15 trillion in assets and has nearly 50 million customers.

Both Charles Schwab and Fidelity ensure your investment accounts are securely held and provide annual reporting to you and the IRS.

You can easily view your accounts at any time through the custodian’s website or by accessing the Cravitz Financial Client Portal.

Do you assist with insurance planning?

As part of a comprehensive retirement plan, we often identify a need for life insurance, annuities, or long-term care insurance.

As an independent firm, we have no ties to any specific carriers. If you require life insurance, for example, we’ll research the top providers, clearly explain the pros and cons of each, and guide you through the process of securing the right policy.

We also review any existing policies you have to ensure they meet your current and future needs.

Are you set up to meet virtually and work with people in other states?

Yes, we work with clients across the United States.

In fact, many of our local clients prefer virtual meetings as well. Instead of driving to our office, they can connect with us from the comfort of their own home, making the process more convenient and flexible.

Should I hire Cravitz Financial & Insurance Solutions?

Great question.

If you're looking for an advisor focused on frequent stock trading or trying to predict and time the markets, we may not be the right fit for you.

We believe markets—and the news of the day—are inherently unpredictable. Trying to forecast short-term market movements or interest rate changes is not a strategy we endorse.

Instead, we focus on what you can control: creating a reliable income stream, reducing taxes, making smarter investment choices, and optimizing your insurance coverage to help you achieve your financial goals.

What else should I know?

We specialize in retirement planning, with a focus on ensuring you have the financial resources to live the lifestyle you desire, for as long as you need.

To provide the highest level of personalized service, we intentionally limit the number of clients we work with, ensuring dedicated attention and thorough planning.

We are strong advocates for technology and invest in it heavily, using it to streamline and simplify the retirement planning process.
